I am a partner and commercial litigation solicitor with wide-ranging cross-border litigation, dispute resolution and advocacy experience gained at a number of leading law firms in Birmingham, the Channel Islands and London. Areas of expertise include shareholder / director disputes, contractual disputes, arbitration, professional negligence, tax / trust / financial litigation, fraud, worldwide freezing orders and insolvency. I formulate incisive legal strategies and build strong relationships with people, particularly clients, and enjoy acting as a mentor to develop others.Perfectly blending capability building with business development and case management, I am well-versed in creating and scaling high-performing litigation functions, achieving 120% utilisation in less than a year and expanding client portfolios. I thrive on handling large-scale complex cases using my passion for litigation and enjoy the process of formulating, strengthening and justifying an argument and drafting complex pleadings and witness statements.Notable Highlights include: Joining Hamlins LLP as a partner in the Commercial Litigation team to work on high value, complex litigation involving contractual, shareholder, director or fraudulent disputes. Establishing Acuity Law’s presence in London with the formation and maturing of a profitable litigation function. Dealing with a complex construction dispute and presenting a robust defence that resulted in a strike out. Achieving a 147% utilisation rate at Child & Child, a leading Mayfair commercial litigation law firm. Nominated as Rising Star in Legal 500 and Chambers submissions. Contributing to several multimillion-pound disputes at City of London law firm, Rosling King, involving fraud, worldwide freezing orders and asset-tracing for multinational commercial clients.
