ABOUT KATHERINE WOOD
Katherine is HDR\'s Business Development Lead in Alaska. She leads strategic planning, marketing budgeting, client development, community and industry participation, project pursuits, staffing and marketing training. Her commitment, drive, and energy build effective teams to identify and capture work for transportation clients. Katherine is a CPSM (Certified Professional Services Marketer) and member of SPMS. In 2024, Katherine took on new responsibilities as the Training Lead for Marketing/BD in HDR\'s Transportation Group. She leads and develops programs to equip our teams to win the right work. In 2022, Katherine became the Chair of HDR\'s disAbilities Employee Network Group, and a member of our Inclusion, Diversity & Equity Council, driving development of strategies to move HDR forward. For external public and private clients, Katherine is a Public Involvement Lead and Project Manager for large infrastructure projects. Her expertise in public involvement and communications covers technical writing, public speaking, and graphic design. She has a strong NEPA background and has presented at several conferences on public involvement innovation, environmental justice and limited English proficiency outreach. In 2014, her work leading outreach for the Anchorage Airport Master Plan Update received the American Planning Association, Alaska Chapter, Award for Public Outreach.\"Wait a minute Katherine, that sounds like four jobs?\" you say. Correct. I don\'t like to be bored. HDR has done a fantastic job of challenging me and opening doors to grow. Game on!
