Katherine Tinsley is a writer, editor, and the founder of Josefina Inc. — a tequila company named in honor of her late grandmother and rooted in sustainability, cultural pride, and radical transparency. A proud Black Puerto Rican woman from the South Side of Chicago, Katherine’s work has been featured in publications like Refinery29 Unbothered, Grazia USA, OK! Magazine and Good Housekeeping, where she’s told stories at the intersection of identity, culture, and empowerment.Katherine launched Josefina to fill a void in the spirits industry — one that too often excludes Black and Hispanic founders — and to create a brand that celebrates legacy and luxury without compromise.
