ABOUT KATHERINE PONDER
I have been a financial advisor with Edward Jones since 2011. Prior to joining Edward Jones, I worked as an affiliate manager with a large nonprofit organization. I earned my bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Louisiana State University. Using an established process, I build personalized financial strategies for my clients that are designed to help achieve their unique goals. I take the time to ask important questions and truly understand their stories. I then construct measurable objectives tailored to their circumstances. Once the strategies are implemented, I maintain regular contact with my clients to help keep them on track. In order to provide a comprehensive service, I regularly collaborate with client\'s CPAs, attorneys and other trusted professionals, always keeping client information confidential. I am proud to serve a wide variety of clients, whose goals range from growing and protecting wealth to saving for education expenses to planning and living a successful retirement. I regularly work with multi-generational families to develop unique strategies of wealth transfer. Many of my clients are also small business owners with whom I create strategies for business succession, asset growth and tax reduction. My relationship with Edward Jones started in 2008 as a client, when I was attracted to its emphasis on relationships and client-centric goals. At the urging of my financial advisor, I enthusiastically joined the firm. My branch office administrator, Colleen Johnson, and I partner to provide exceptional client service. Within the firm, I serve as a field trainer and mentor. Outside of the office, I am active with the Junior League of Charleston, the Lowcountry Food Bank, the LSU Alumni Association and my local church. In my free time, I enjoy food and wine, reading, college football, cooking, baking and spending time with my children.
