About Katherine Kott

I have consulted both internally and externally in a variety of environments including higher education, the technology industry, and not for profit organizations. My areas of expertise include strategic planning, team building and facilitation, leadership development, organization design, and performance leadership. To meet client needs, I draw upon a diverse set of tools and methods. A research perspective grounded in systems theory underlies my work and ensures that clients are prepared to sustain the organizational changes they envision at the end of the engagement. Specific results include: • Positioning a traditional academic research library for transformation into a digital library for the 21st century through strategic planning and organizational redesign. • Identifying key challenges for a higher education consortium through stakeholder engagement and analysis of data from college and research institute presidents, provosts, and faculty members. • Developing and implementing an assessment methodology for a systemwide governance structure.
