ABOUT KATHERINE CISCHKE KORPI
As an enthusiastic professional in higher education in student affairs for 15 years, my best days are those where I feel I have genuinely helped and encouraged the amazing students here at Northern Michigan University. It\'s rewarding work, with a talented and fun crew!In my most recent role in NMU Career Services, it is extremely motivating to assist students in their short and long-term career goals, to include making connections to their educational pursuits. We strive in our office to keep improving and evolving to meet (and hopefully exceed) the expectations of those with whom we support and collaborate. It is our goal to establish meaningful relationships which encourage and facilitate the success of not only current students, but our exceptional alumni, our stellar faculty and staff, as well as our valued employer and community partners. Additionally, I love to see NMU Wildcats out in the field as alum! I am truly fascinated by the paths they\'ve taken to get where they\'ve landed, and enjoy the stories that color their journey. Overall, I feel fortunate to be doing work I am so passionate about, in such an amazing place!
