ABOUT KATHERINE KILPATRICK
I am proud to work for UK home and kitchenware retailer, Lakeland, as our Content Manager on the Brand Team in Marketing.Previous to my various roles at Lakeland, I was the Accommodation Marketing Manager at Ribby Hall Village (5* Holiday Village and 4* Spa Hotel in Lancs) and prior to that I obtained 2 marketing roles at global leisure and hospitality brand, Wyndham Worldwide, looking after the comms for our villa, cottage and timeshare products. I have over 15 years of experience in the workplace and very strong qualifications including a Master’s Degree graded at “Distinction” in Management where I specialised in Marketing. My strengths lie in building relationships, planning, prioritising and delivering to schedule. I have a proven ability in being able to motivate and influence others. I am driven and decisive, always looking for ways to improve my work and use feedback to generate relevant recommendations. My passion is travel and I have visited lots of fantastic places including Asia, Africa, Australia, N&S America but my favourite place will always be closer to home: the Lake District which is where I live with my family. I love walking and exploring and am currently working through Wainwright\'s Fells with my husband. A few years ago we completed the 8 peaks challenge, raising funds for the BHF and more recently, I completed the Cross Bay Walk with some of my colleagues for CancerCare - both are achievements I’m really proud of. In my spare time, I also enjoy going to the theatre, reading and exercise but my favourite thing in the world is family time with my husband and two wonderful children.
