ABOUT KATHERINE MAUGH
Hi! I am Katie Maugh, and I am currently pursuing a Master\'s degree in Social Work with a focus in Interpersonal Practice in Integrated Health, Mental Health, and Substance Abuse at the University of Michigan School of Social Work, with the goal of becoming a Clinical Social Worker. I am incredibly passionate about integrated, holistic, and effective health care, and I am deeply committed to developing the necessary skills to provide mental health care to children and adolescents while addressing the barriers to accessing such care.Additionally, I serve as a Research Assistant for the School of Nursing at the University of Michigan, where I assist Dr. Robert Knoerl on a study titled:\"Determining the Feasibility of Virtual, Tailored, Music-Based Relaxation for Anxiety in Adolescent and Young Adult Cancer Survivors.\" In my role as a Research Assistant, I am responsible for participant recruitment, screening, informed consent, data collection, maintenance, and out-processing. This experience is helping me deepen my understanding of mental health care and enhancing my interpersonal and research skills.I’m always looking to connect with others in the mental health and health care field - feel free to reach out!
