ABOUT KATHERINE ENNEVER

Originally trained in London as a Stage Manager I started my career in touring Theatre, working in schools using theatre as an educational tool and opportunity to support children and young people build confidence, be informed and understand their rights. Relocating to Cornwall after several years on tour across the UK, I spent 8 years working for BF Adventure. As Operations Manager and then Development Manager I developed strong network connections across sectors including the local authority, schools, health, voluntary sector colleagues and businesses resulting in high quality delivery of educational outdoor activities services to children and young people and a broad knowledge of grant and tendering processes, commissioning of services and project management.Taking an opportunity for further learning and development in 2014 with Cornwall Council I undertook a degree and subsequent position as a Children’s Social Worker. Combining my career knowledge and value base led me to applying for and successfully being appointed to a new role within Cornwall Council as Children\'s Rights Officer, with a focus to work in partnership with practitioners and organisations to promote and uphold rights for all children and young people living in Cornwall.
