   Coordinates the risk management activities of the Central Arizona Project (CAP) and to design, develop, implement and administer the insurance, loss control and claims segments of the CAP property/casualty programs. Primary coordinator with the CAWCD Insurance Company:• Oversees operations of the captive insurance company, establishing budgets and goals to ensure the captive supports Districts strategic objectives to optimize use of CAP assets; ensures regulatory compliance; creatively responds to emerging enterprise risks; manages professional service providers. Prepares and/or reviews reports as well as studies and makes recommendations to the Captive BoardRisk AnalysisComplete and maintain risk assessments district wide and assist organizations within CAP in completion of risk assessments.• Assess CAP’s policies and procedures making appropriate recommendations to reduce the risk of loss.• Maintain a database reflecting the total cost of loss for all lines of insurance coverage by organization.• Develop and maintain a pure cost of loss basis for CAP.Administers Loss Control Program Review and recommend appropriate changes to CAP’s Business Continuity Plan.• Recommend and implement loss control measures when appropriate and cost effective and implement process improvement programs.• Maintain a drivers qualification program. Ensure compliance with all Commercial Drivers License (CDL) requirements.Administer the Property and Casualty Claims Programs.Coordination, Investigation, Settlement, Litigation Management, and Reporting for all property, liability, and workers compensation claims. Administer and Coordinate other Risk Management Activities including budgeting, working with auditors and actuaries, filing all renewal and tax forms for the self-insured workers compensation program.
