ABOUT KATHERINE STEELE

I work to bring people together so that they can build trust, commit to action, and create a community of collaboration. My passion is to help empower others by supplying them with tools, knowledge, support systems, and opportunities. By uniting and empowering each other we can set our sights on a path where we can truly expand the impact! I work daily to help unite and empower remarkable military veterans and spouses as the next generation of public and private sector leaders committed to service beyond self.With over 20 years of experience in leadership development I’ve invested my career in finding ways to help others show up as leaders in their communities. I’ve worked in k-12 schools, higher education and corporate America, but have recently found my home and my passion in non-profits.My most recent work has me uniting and empowering military veterans and spouses to each other and networks so that they can make an impact in their communities. Based out of Chicago, IL I live with two great danes (Theodore and George), cats (Hefty and Betty, plus the stray that keeps coming to my back porch because I am a sucker), my partner Walt, and my kids: Mitchell and Kayley who are off in the world adulting. I love traveling (anywhere and everywhere), plants (I can’t go out, I have plants :) and a good meal. I enjoy leadership development and group facilitation models - using my expertise in human development and its role in leadership to empower my leaders to collaborate and innovate with an aim of progress.
