If Carlsberg did HR consultants…I help business founders and directors to grow their business by developing the right team around them and fixing their people problems. Running a business can be lonely and I provide a safe space and an ear for whatever is on your minds which usually links back to people somewhere whether it’s problems or not having enough or the right people. My clients value my practical, hands on, straight talking approach. I actually see the relief on their faces when we start to chat through problems and potential solutions and they’ve just had an opportunity to share what has been bothering them for a while. You are busy running your business and don’t just want ‘advice’ you want the problem solved. I will jump in and lead meetings, deliver difficult messages or walk you through it and be there with you if you want to lead yourself. It’s my business to know your business and I know what you need to take it forward. I’m your trusted HR director and part of your senior team or board. I attend board meetings and work with investors and NED’s. I also know when your big birthdays are and if your family have something major coming up in their lives. In my spare time (!) I’m also a director of a £4 million turnover business employing 20 people so I know first hand how difficult it is to juggle running a business and that you’ve poured your heart and soul into it. Having spent over 15 years at a senior level in local government, through my long standing connections I provide fractional HR director support to district councils. If you’re a stand alone HR professional we offer mentoring support and a second opinion for complex cases. I’m a non-executive director at Lincolnshire Chamber of Commerce where we are passionate about connecting businesses and helping create the right environment for business growth. How much is this going to cost me I can hear you thinking…Depends on the level of support you want or need. We offer retained advice from £75 per month for our helpline. If you want me specifically to support you with a problem then we would agree scope of support required rates are between £145-£165 per hour depending on the level of work. My clients tell me it’s worth every penny and I will definitely give you value for money and save you a lot of time, pain and costs.
