ABOUT KATHARINE KEENAN

As a trained anthropologist I consider myself a \"professional people person.\" I am an expert at understanding complex social networks and building strong relationships through detailed observation and interpersonal communication. An exceptional grant writer and communicator, I connect people with the resources they need to advance their mission. My dissertation was on post-conflict Northern Ireland and the Upper Midwest. My research is committed to applied, community-driven public anthropology. As an educator and higher ed advancement officer I maintain a life-long dedication to the liberal arts model. In over nine years experience in higher education, I have taught courses in anthropology, archaeology, qualitative research methods, in writing-intensive, and general education curricula. My interest areas include Ireland and the UK, Germany, the United States, materiality, public events, public space, mass performance, parades and processions, and visual ethnography.
