ABOUT KATHARINA SCHWERDT

I am a passionate moderator for big live events and conferences as well as a skilled facilitator for interactive strategy workshops and team retreats working all over the world (in-person and online). I’ve had the privilege of working with international organizations, including the UN and NGOs, as well as in the consulting industry, which has given me a broad perspective on creating impactful interactive formats and on ending panel and workshop fatigue. Here’s a snapshot of what I do best: Moderating and emceeing big events, panels, conferences, and forums worldwide (in-person & online) Designing and facilitating strategic team retreats and workshops Leading interactive trainings and coaching teams on workshop design and facilitation Consulting on workshop and event concepts that boost engagement and impactProfessional background:In 2023/24, I was awarded the prestigious Mercator Fellowship on International Affairs, which allowed me to work with UNDP Asia-Pacific on interactive formats for their accelerator labs in the region, the Social Innovation Lab CITRA in Sri Lanka working on enhancing public sector innovation and Oxfam in Senegal preparing COP28. Previously, I advised the German public sector as senior consultant at PD - Consultants for the Public Sector and gained international experience in Cyprus, Colombia and Belarus. I hold a master’s degree in Nonprofit Management and a bachelor’s degree in Political and Communication Sciences.
