I am the President and CEO of Nascentia Health, a home and community-based, post-acute/long-term care health system that serves the aging and disabled population across 48 counties in Upstate New York. I have over 25 years of experience in the healthcare industry, and I hold an MBA, an MS in Health Services Administration, a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator credential, and an Advanced Graduate Certificate in Gerontology Service Delivery.As the leader of Nascentia Health, I have successfully driven the organization\'s turnaround and transformation, creating an interdependent health system that consolidated and restructured nine entities under a parent organization, and building a Medicare Advantage Plan for dually eligible individuals. Through my visionary and strategic leadership, I have increased the operating budget from $12.4M to $500M, expanded the service line, and enhanced the quality and efficiency of care. I am also a recognized expert and board member in aging care and services, and a catalyst for inspiring others, visualizing unique solutions, and instilling a culture of change. My passion is to meet the needs of the community and make lasting improvements in the healthcare system.

   Developed & lead a Medicare/Medicaid Managed Care Plans, primary care, home health, community-based long-term care, palliative care, hospice, and senior housing services. Serving over patients across 48 Upstate New York counties, with budget of over $370M, 900 employees and over provider contracts.• Created a new vision for organization as both healthcare provider and a managed care insurer.• Expanded the operating budget from $12.4M to a pre-Covid high of over $560M as interdependent post-acute long-term care health system across 48 counties within 4 years.• Achieved a 60% increase in revenue, reduced overhead by over 20%.• Enhanced access to care across remote/rural Upstate New York.• Developed Medicare/Medicaid Advantage Plus Special Needs Plan for a fully integrated model of care, providing cost-effective high-quality care across 15 counties.• Consistently achieve the highest CMS home health rating in region.• Appointed to NY Medicaid Redesign Team’s Managed Long-Term Care Implementation & Waiver Redesign Workgroup.• Selected to serve on the Transparency, Evaluation, and HIT Workgroup as part of New York State’s Health Innovation.• Served on the National Advisory Committee on Rural Health & Human Services via appointment from the Secretary of Health & Human Services (20••••20).• Successfully initiated a supportive housing initiative through the Empire State Supportive Housing Initiative (ESSHI), establishing 27 housing units, maintaining 100% occupancy.• Envisioned the development of Nascentia Neighborhood, a pioneering active aging retirement community in the Beeches property in Rome. The community is under development to provide a broad mix of housing options including 42 affordable apartments, 36 market-rate patio home units, and 82 duplex units for purchase, catering to a diverse spectrum of needs and financial capabilities within our aging population.
