ABOUT KATERI HARRIS
I’m an artist turned graphic designer turned visual designer, and I like to combine all 3 of these skill sets in each of my projects. I currently work as a visual designer for a private university’s marketing and communications team, where I work on designing and creating websites for a variety of audiences and applications. Some of my creative skills include traditional and digital illustration and calligraphy, graphic and digital design, high and low fidelity mockups, wire-framing, prototyping, UI/UX design, photo and video editing. I have worked with a variety of tools and programs, including: Adobe Creative Cloud, Adobe XD, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Lightroom, Animate, After Effects, Premiere, Figma, Procreate, Autodesk Sketchbook, Adobe Sketch and Draw, Paper, Mailchimp, Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Avid Media Composer, and Wordpress CMS. In working with front-end developers and full-stack developers, I’ve picked up various related skills. This not only helps us work faster and more cohesively, but also helps me better understand their processes and needs as a whole.
