Kate Marlys emerged on the public relations scene over ten years ago when she launched her successful special events blog, with the goal of keeping readers in-the-know about “all things” Philly. Within two years starting the Philly PR Girl blog and throwing her own networking events, Kate expanded her brand to include a full-service public relations company. Philly PR Girl LLC offers a full range of services including event planning, influencer marketing, digital and social media, public relations, and content creation.The Philly PR Girl brand was built on the principles of networking and relationship building. Kate has planned and facilitated a wide range of events nationwide and has built a strong network of contacts throughout the United States. Kate herself has been featured in Philadelphia magazine, Philadelphia Style Magazine, Metro Philly, on Fox29’s Good Day Philadelphia and on NBC10.She has spoken at a multitude of venues to educate the public on public relations, social media, and networking. Some of her speaking engagements include the City of Philadelphia’s Commission for Women Entrepreneur Summit, PA Conference for Women, Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce, and numerous Universities in the area. Kate has also been honored as a Leader in the MS Leaders Circle, a recipient of the Who’s Next in Communications award by Billy Penn, and an “I Am Born to Make History” recipient by Influencing Action.Kate was able to create her second business Photo Pop Philly LLC in the Summer of 2018 with the help of the Philly PR Girl team. Photo Pop was Philadelphia’s first interactive art pop up and had three exhibits that featured local artists. Combining her love for Philadelphia and Social Media, Kate created something special for the city of Philadelphia, and today she continues to be a trailblazer in the city.
