As a Project Manager at SPS+ Architects, I lead K–12 and higher education design projects from concept through construction, balancing creative problem-solving with technical precision. My role includes client coordination, consultant and contractor collaboration, and oversight of internal project teams to ensure successful project delivery. Behind the scenes my role also includes ensuring projects are profitable, fee proposals are written for new projects and project invoicing (payable and receivable). Key responsibilities include- Managing multiple projects across all phases, including programming, schematic design, design development, construction documentation, and construction administration- Leading client meetings, presentations, and stakeholder coordination efforts- Collaborating closely with general contractors to navigate real-time construction issues and maintain schedule alignment- Coordinating with civil, structural, and MEPT consultants to resolve design challenges and integrate systems effectively- Producing and reviewing architectural drawings, specifications, and submittals to ensure accuracy, compliance, and constructability- Providing QA/QC oversight and mentoring junior staff- Supporting pursuit efforts by contributing to proposals and RFQ responses for public-sector clientsThis role has allowed me to strengthen my leadership skills while deepening my expertise in education design and construction administration.
