I’m Katelyn Kincaid, a Marketing Management major at Virginia Tech seeking entry-level roles in market research and public relations. I’m excited about turning data and research into marketing strategies that truly connect with people. Through my coursework and personal projects, I’ve learned to translate research and information into clear, engaging content, and I’ve developed the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team. One experience that stands out is conducting market research for chocolatepaper, a real company in Roanoke, VA, to evaluate potential countries for international expansion. I combined research, messaging, and creativity to deliver a professional pitch and a detailed 15-page report, helping the company make data-driven decisions about new potential markets. What sets me apart is my drive to make my work meaningful, not just completing tasks. I also have a strong understanding of messaging, brand voice, and audience engagement, which helps me communicate ideas clearly and persuasively. I’m eager to join a team where I can continue learning, apply my skills, and help create marketing initiatives that truly resonate.
