About Katie Hoag
I\'ve spent my career asking two questions: why does this matter? and why should someone care? At Tableau, Ramp, and Central, that meant building the customer evidence engines behind product launches, sales cycles, and go-to-market: designing systems that influence pipeline, drive trust, and keep the customer as the hero. Programs that helped sales close seven-figure deals with the right story at the right time. Now, as PMM for Payroll at Mercury, I\'m doing that work from closer to the source - translating what the product actually does into why it matters for the founders and operators building companies on top of it. What I love about PMM is the same thing I\'ve always loved: proximity to how a product changes someone\'s day-to-day. That proximity makes the stories better, and it keeps customer insight flowing back into product, marketing, and sales in ways that sharpen everything else.
