I started in philosophy, followed my interests into science and research, and finally found my home in computer science. Both a numbers-person and a people-person, I love to pull groups of engineers together to puzzle over technical problems as a team. I have previously taught college students, children, and incarcerated people, and I have a knack for making complex STEM subjects exciting, relevant, and meaningful — a skillset that has proved invaluable in my current collaborations on projects in software engineering, database design and implementation, and machine learning applications.
