Hello, I\'m Katelyn, your go-to HR Generalist at Star One Credit Union, with a journey that\'s anything but linear - from Events & Catering Management Corporate Admin Human Resources. Each turn in my career has been a stepping stone, making my path rich with diverse experiences and learning.I kicked off my career in Events & Catering, fresh out of San Jose State University with a degree in Hospitality Management. This role honed my people skills, customer service, and event management expertise. About five years in, I transitioned into corporate administration, where I solidified my organizational and administrative capabilities in a more traditional corporate environment.My journey into HR felt like destiny calling. Leveraging my education and accumulated skills, I stepped into the HR arena, driven by a passion for making workplaces better for everyone. Recognizing the need for formal education in this field, I earned my Graduate Certificate in Human Resources Management from Golden Gate University in August 2022.
