ABOUT KATELYN MAST

I am currently a second year student double majoring in Political Science and Law, Criminal Justice, and Societies with a minor in Public Policy at the University of Pittsburgh in the Friedrich Honors College. Through my academic career I have found a passion for legislation and public policy for the purpose of improving community programs.At the University of Pittsburgh I am a member of the College Democrats Club and Club Running at Pitt. In High School, I was a founder and the President of the Criminal Justice Club allowing students to explore their interest in government, law, and politics through monthly meetings and field trips. I was the Secretary of the Feminist Union where we instituted free period products throughout the bathrooms which was very successful. In the National Honor Society I was the committee leader for Trail Tenders where we went out on weekends to clean up local trails and parks in the community, as well as Toys For Tots collecting presents from children during the holiday season. All throughout High School I was also a three season athlete running cross country, indoor track, and outdoor track.
