I\'m a senior cartographer with experience in many aspects of GIS and cartography, with a recent focus on full-stack basemap cartography at major tech companies. My maps have been used by millions of people. My pre-cartography experience prepared me well. I spent years in the Seattle software industry, honing the disparate skillset that makes me good at cartography and GIS analysis. My focus was on IT and customer service leadership, and I’ve also worked in data quality, project management, QA, writing and editing, and documentation and training. I\'m deeply familiar with interactive map technologies like Mapbox and MapLibre, as well as desktop GIS (ArcGIS, QGIS).I\'m comfortable anywhere from the finest aesthetic details of design to the command line. In all roles, I\'m a flexible generalist who enjoys solving problems and improving quality. Geeks are my people.
