ABOUT KATE LEIGH
I am an experienced professional pensions trustee and qualified pensions lawyer, with over 17 years in the pensions industry (including 14 years’ trustee experience).I am Head of the Northern offices and Client Director at Vidett. I am also a former counsel member of the Association of Professional Pension Trustees (APPT). I act as Chair on a variety of pension schemes, from £17m to £1.2bn in asset size. I specialise in large schemes. I have successfully completed multiple scheme buy-outs, sole trustee transitions and member option exercises.At Squire Patton Boggs I advised a diverse range of corporates and trustees across a wide range of pension schemes on all aspects of pensions law. I also acted as a trustee director for the firm\'s independent trustee company.As a technical manager at the Co-operative Group, I led a number of high profile projects, including scheme sectionalisation, high value buy ins and scheme mergers. I also acted as Secretary of the Governance Committee to the Co-op\'s main £9bn DB and DC hybrid scheme.
