ABOUT KATE DONOVAN

I am a CPA and financial leader with over 20 years of experience guiding organizations through change, risk management, and operational improvement. Currently serving as U.S. Controller at a fast-growing company, I focus on building strong accounting teams, producing timely and accurate financial reporting, and supporting the finance function through periods of significant transformation.My career began in corporate accounting roles that gave me a broad foundation before I joined EY, where I deepened my technical expertise in audit and financial reporting. As a military spouse, I relocated frequently early in my career, which allowed me to gain diverse experience across industries and develop adaptability that continues to serve me well today.Over the years, I have contributed meaningfully to major corporate events, including assisting with a large divestiture at Citrix and playing a key role in the acquisition and integration of KEMET Corporation (≈$2B revenue), where I supported the transition from U.S. GAAP to IFRS accounting standards. I have also led international and remote teams, consistently delivered clean audit results, and enjoy mentoring and developing staff.I hold both a CPA license and an MBA, and I remain active in my community through board committee service and nonprofit leadership, while continuing to expand my expertise in financial strategy and CFO-level advisory skills.
