About Kate Cuddington
I\'m currently a Design Manager working for Swinerton in Santa Clara, CA. I have over 9 years of experience working on the construction and engineering industries. I started my career on the design side of the industry as a Project Engineer and Structural Designer for Holmes, an international consulting structural engineering firm, in San Francisco. I have a significant background in design, analysis and construction of Mass Timber structures and worked on designing the first un-topped mass timber diaphragm. Since then, I have worked for general contractors in California specializing in collaborative delivery methods, pre-fabrication and mass timber. I have significant experience in Building Information Modeling (BIM), VR integration and construction technologies. I\'m passionate about living an active and healthy lifestyle, supporting women in STEM and construction fields, and working with others to create efficient and cohesive projects and project teams!
