About Kaite Bruce
I knew that I wanted to become a teacher when I was in the 10th grade. After growing up in a less than desirable home my high school math teacher took me under her wing. She mentored me for the remainder of my high school career and beyond. We are still in touch to this day. I learned from her the value of hard work and the importance of developing a relationship with students. Many students will work hard simply because they have made a connection with the instructor. I wanted to become a teacher to give back as I know without her influence I would not be the successful adult I am today. Not only do I have a passion for mathematics but I also love academic advising and mentoring. I enjoy discussing goals and career interests with students. So often students just want someone to listen and process with.
