I currently work as a senior panner for Profile Construction Consultants. Previously I worked as the lead planner for the Port of Dover, setting up their new planning department. This involved producing and implementing a range of planning policies and procedures and scheduling good practise. I head up a small team of highly experienced planners that report to me and together we are responsible for the production and maintenance of all schedules and Programmes of work within the port. My main duties are forecasting and assigning planning resource to upcoming projects, liaising with the project teams and procurement and updating and administering the portfolio Programme, NEC programme administration and making sure all project schedules are reported against. I am also involved with any delay analysis that’s required. Previously I was the regional planner for The O\'Keefe Group, where I was responsible for the construction and implementation of tender stage and live programmes, cost and resource loading and tracking, as well as the contract particulars (particularly the NEC 3 and JCT form of contract). The projects I was involved with are typically ground-works and civil engineering packages that range between £500, and £9 million in value. I have implemented a cost and resource tracking methodology for planned vs actual analysis that enables projects to track their resource allowance more accurately. I also implemented and managed the Site Progress reporting App from Elecosoft across most sites in Kent.
