ABOUT KATE KATHERINE STUCKMAN

Kate has been practicing as a registered patent agent since 2015, and has prepared and filed hundreds of patent applications in a variety of fields such as: big data storage and analytics; machine learning, computer vision, and AI; medical devices and applications; satellite systems; software platforms and mobile device apps; communication protocols; unmanned vehicles; security and encryption; and embedded systems. Kate often works with startups, specializing in leading the development of their patent strategy and building them robust patent portfolios from scratch. Multiple patent portfolios Kate has developed have been enforced, licensed, or sold.Kate was awarded a B.S. in Electrical Engineering (magna cum laude) from Texas A&M University and an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University where she was a National Science Foundation Fellow. Her strong technical credentials enable Kate to work with top tier engineers and quickly understand their inventions, reducing the time they need to devote to the patenting process. Kate is an inventor herself on over three dozen issued and published patents, the earliest awarded at age 10. Kate lives in the California Bay Area and spends her spare time playing oboe and English horn with community orchestras and teaching barre fitness classes.
