I got my Army teaching qualification (still can’t quite believe that one).• I qualified as a Team Medic, something I’ve always been interested in but never pursued — and was later recommended to join the medical corps. • I completed a Land Rover driving course, including off-roading at night. • I achieved Level 2 kayaking. • I kept my design skills sharp by helping with jobs around the base, creating posters for events, and redesigning the camp newsletter — launching the TOSCA Times to share with loved ones back home.Spending a year alongside people from every walk of life has been one of the biggest learning curves I’ve ever experienced. It’s sharpened my leadership, patience, and communication, and shown me I can handle far more than I thought possible. Along the way, I’ve made lifelong friends and seen how much you can grow when surrounded by people who challenge and support you in equal measure.Now I’m back — ready to pour that experience and resilience into new creative projects.
