About Kate Rosenthal
Kate Rosenthal is a Senior Director on FTI Consulting’s Cybersecurity & Data Privacy Communications team and leads the team’s Cybersecurity Crisis Preparedness service offering. Kate specializes in the development, implementation, and training of cross-functional crisis management programs that support her clients’ readiness to navigate cybersecurity events and the associated threats to business continuity, license to operate, and stakeholder relationships. Specifically, she has extensive experience designing crisis management plans that address potential response vulnerabilities, improve response efficiency and collaboration, and mitigate the legal, reputation, and business continuity risks associated with cybersecurity incidents. She also frequently conducts cybersecurity trainings, education sessions, tabletop exercises, and simulations to further enhance personnel knowledge and readiness. In her role, Kate has worked with organizations of all sizes and sectors in their efforts to prepare for cybersecurity risks, including private- and public-sector operators of critical energy, power, and water infrastructure, financial services companies, healthcare providers, brick-and-mortar retail, and one of the world’s leaders in semiconductor technology. In addition to her work in preparedness, Kate has also navigated dozens of live cybersecurity incident responses, with particular emphasis on incidents involving significant operational suspension or risk to homeland security. Kate is a DRI-certified Associate Business Continuity Professional (ABCP) and holds a Master’s in Emergency & Disaster Management from Georgetown University.
