About Kate Carney
A strategic builder with a decade + of communications, partnership development, and program management experience. Working for a Fortune 100 company, I led enterprise-wide CSR programs, building a portfolio of 25+ strategic partners and developing communication strategies and programs that increased employee engagement by 200% in our communities. As a nonprofit founder, I managed a 7-person working board and oversaw fundraising, communications, and programming to provide mentorship and skills training to girls in Haiti. On Capitol Hill, I led the passage of legislation and advised on a variety of policy issues for Rep. Brad Wenstrup (OH-2).After 2020 shook things up, I spent a year traveling miles by boat around the U.S. I learned how to bleed a diesel engine, navigate waterways, and share the experience as a published writer. Now I serve as chief of staff for the nonpartisan research organization, More in Common. Committed to using my experiences and skillsets to help build strong communities for a strong country.
