ABOUT KATE LEWIS
Dr Kate Lewis is Reader in the Marketing, Operations and Systems group at Newcastle University Business School. Prior to that she was Reader at Manchester Metropolitan University Business School and Associate Professor in the School of Management, and Associate Director of the New Zealand Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship Research Centre, at Massey University in New Zealand. Kate is a Visiting Professor at Plymouth Marjon University. She is also on the Advisory Board of the Massey University People, Organisation, Work and Employment Research Group; an external Research Associate of the New Zealand Work Research Institute at Auckland University of Technology; and, is a past Vice President of the Small Enterprise Association of Australia and New Zealand. Kate is Consulting Editor for the International Journal of Gender and Entrepreneurship, and has been an Associate Editor of the Journal of Small Business Management and Editor in Chief of Small Enterprise Research. Research foci: identity & work; gender & entrepreneurship; social entrepreneurship; gender & the military; sustainability & environmental management in the small firm context; age & self-employment; career theory; and, enterprise policy.
