ABOUT KATE LEGTERS

I am currently the Chief of Staff and the senior HR executive that works directly with the CEOs and co-founders of Etegent Technologies and our subsidiary NLign Analytics. Our company focuses on scientific research and development in the areas of artificial intelligence, modeling & simulation, and software development. My personal goal is to help business leaders understand employee perceptions and how that links to their business goals, performance, and engagement. I\'m also an adjunct professor teaching in the NKU graduate I/O program and a wedding photographer! I love the different professional avenues I\'ve set for myself as they all allow me to support and nurture relationships. My educational background is in Industrial/Organizational psychology, Human Resources, leadership development, and law. I\'m experienced in organizational change and development, statistical analysis, survey design, selection measures, training, coaching, championing culture, project management, legal compliance, and performance management. Why am I different: I spend time getting to know people and I have extensively studied the science and research behind organizational frameworks. By coupling these together, I produce results that lead to systemic, positive change. I have held roles in HR, as both an individual contributor and a manager. I have had up to 12 direct reports in HR. I have a deep passion for innovation, mentoring, and authenticity. I’m very curious, analytical, compassionate, and empathetic. I believe that HR is more than payroll, benefits, administration, and policies - it\'s working with people - understanding them, knowing them, believing in them - and integrating that focus into helping a business succeed. I previously worked for fortune 200s Amazon.com and L3 Harris. I\'ve worked on projects that include implementing succession planning strategies, mergers and acquisitions, implementing COEs, training programs that integrated leadership competencies and cultural desires, overhauling performance management systems, and integrating data to tell a story. I also previously worked as a consultant, whereby I worked with executives, senior HR leaders, and analysts to gather feedback via implementation of surveys, collected analytical insights, and inspired positive change that impact people. I led the team that explored all of the latest empirical evidence to create a fresh vision for understanding employee engagement, satisfaction, and turnover intention.
