In my current role, I have successfully transformed the L&D function and team, creating a significant impact across the organisation. As the driving force behind the L&D strategy for a business of people, I manage a budget of around £7 million, including the apprenticeship levy.Some of my proudest achievements include- Building the current L&D function from a decentralised and disparate base to a high-performing team, which resulted in an engagement increase of 38 percentage points- Boosting company-wide career and development engagement survey responses by 5% in FY22 and 7% in FY23- Enhancing the use of the Mitie Learning Management System from 29% to 70%, with an average of users per month and an average learning NPS increase of 5%- Growing apprenticeship reinvestment from 21% to 51%, equating to a £3 million investment in the last financial year. We also achieved the distinction of being named in the Top 100 Apprenticeship Employers list for two consecutive years- Winning the prestigious HR Excellence Award 2023 for the best Early Career Strategy- Gaining membership to the 5% Club, supporting social mobility through earn-and-learn programmes- Establishing an internal digital learning design team, which led to an increase in operational learning reach and impact, saving an average of £500k per annum compared to external development costs. Our custom-created content has been highly praised by learners, achieving an NPS of +100- Developing an award-winning conscious inclusion programme, which won \"Best Diversity, Equality, and Inclusion Initiative\" and \"Best Learning Initiative for Business Culture\" at the Business Culture Awards 2021- Creating Mitie’s acclaimed customer experience programme, which won accolades in two categories at the international Globees Business Excellence Awards 2023, as well as a bronze award at the Brandon Hall Awards.
