ABOUT KATE JOINER
I am a senior education leader specialising in governance, people, culture and strategy across multi academy trusts, with a track record of strengthening board effectiveness, driving organisational change and supporting trust growth.Currently Head of People, Culture and Governance within a multi academy trust, I operate at board level to align governance, people strategy and organisational priorities, ensuring decisions are focused on long term impact. My work spans trust wide governance frameworks, support and assurance and cultural transformation across multiple schools.Alongside my executive role, I bring extensive non executive experience as a Chair and Non Executive Director, overseeing finance, risk and people strategy. I have secured over £500k in investment, recruited and developed more than 100 board members and strengthened governance systems to improve compliance, resilience and effective decision making.Previously appointed as a National Leader of Governance, I have led external reviews across a range of organisations, providing strategic insight that has improved board performance, clarified accountability and supported sustainable improvement.I bring a cross sector perspective across education, public service and the charitable sector and am particularly passionate about inclusion, wellbeing and strategic leadership.My approach is collaborative, outcomes driven and focused on building high performing organisations, not just compliant structures.I am currently completing an MBA in Entrepreneurship and hold a Distinction in the Chartered Governance Institute Certificate.
