ABOUT KATERINA I.
With over 5 years in customer service and 15 years of work experience in the corporate world, where accuracy and insight are essential, I am equipped with the tools, curiousity and skills required to address the needs of any team. My skills and abilities in relation to property taxes include: • Processed over appeals and decisions in the field • A diligent employee with great work ethic, integrity, and confidence. • Completed the Municipal Tax Administration Certificate Program at Seneca College and various Public Administration courses at York University • Successfully completed examinations on tax calculations, interest accumulation, and appeal processing • Trained for the M.I.M.A Designation as part of the Institute of Municipal Assessors. • Successfully completed examinations on ethics, the valuation approaches of depreciation, cost and income • “Can-do” positive attitude. • A Team player who can work independently. • Experienced in Microsoft Office – Excel/Word/Outlook/SharePoint/VBA/SQL – Expert Level Certified • Skilled in designing Pivot Tables, writing queries and macros, crating JOINS, building reports, and data cleaning My professional experience at Reamined Systems Inc – OPTA PLT, a software development company contracted by the Ministry of Finance, for five years, entailed processing property decisions and calculating their respective tax applications. I processed Severances and Consolidations, Supplementary Omitted Assessments, Section 357’s, ARB/ SAN/ ANA/ PRAN/ and Request for Reconsideration daily. Due to my good performance, I was awarded the opportunity to work on several special projects, such as creating protocols, training staff, and testing software for accuracy in processes. While working with Scotiabank for seven years, I started out by having face-to-face interactions with customers which later helped me propose new initiatives and to analyze data. I worked on three different teams where I solidified my ability to communicate with various teams, to complete work of varying difficulty, and to take on additional projects that expanded the scope of the Bank as a whole.
