About Kate Henderson

Kate Henderson has over 15 years of experience in global health and systems practice. She is an expert in collaborative design, group dynamics, and leading effective systems change and leads Management Sciences for Health (MSH)\'s Leadership & Governance portfolio. As a master facilitator of MSH’s performance improvement and locally-led development approaches, Ms. Henderson has facilitated (and prepared local staff and partners to facilitate) stakeholder alignment meetings, policy dialogues, co-creation processes, leadership development programs, and organizational improvement and strategic planning exercises for health and human rights professionals, civil society and private sector organizations, and government institutions in more than 25 countries and provided virtual coaching to teams in over 50 countries across Africa, Asia, the Middle East, and Eastern Europe. She has authored or contributed to many technical resources including the Leadership & Management Accelerator, Leading and Managing for Results in Pandemics, Leading@MSH, Leadership Development Program Plus, Leading and Managing for Rights-based Family Planning High Impact Practice Brief, WHO’s Guide to Fostering Change to Scale Up Effective Health Services and CDC’s Presence of Leadership and Management in Global Health Programs: Compendium of Case Studies. Before joining MSH, Ms. Henderson worked with the health systems strengthening team in USAID’s Office of HIV/AIDS through the Global Health Fellows Program, the Center for Global Health at George Washington University, Women for Women International, and as a Community Health Mobilization Officer for an HIV/AIDS program in Ethiopia.
