ABOUT KATE FAHY
I am a Social Science teacher candidate completing my credential at UC Santa Barbara, with classroom experience teaching 7th Grade World History, 11th Grade U.S. History, and 12th Grade Government and Economics in the Santa Barbara Unified School District. I have also taught internationally at a bilingual high school in Madrid, Spain, where I planned and delivered English-language lessons and led Model United Nations programming focused on global issues, debate, and public speaking. These experiences strengthened my commitment to supporting culturally diverse learners, including English language learners and students with varying academic needs.Before entering education, I worked in the mortgage industry managing complex loan processes and building strong client relationships. I am currently seeking a secondary Social Science teaching position in California where I can create inclusive learning environments and support students in becoming informed, thoughtful participants in society.
