   Perform a formal evaluation of patients upon admission including determining appropriateness of referral, medical history review, examination, identifying diagnosis, prognosis, and plan of care-Review the plan of care and the patient\'s subjective or objective responses to determine if goals/objectives are being attained and are in line with the patient, family and or caregiver\'s goals to optimize function and promote return to patient\'s home and or community environment-Discuss findings, establish, and implement plan of care in collaboration with the patient, caregivers, additional supports, and medical team as appropriate-Primary investigator for the Evaluation of the effect of early mobilization on acute recovery and length of stay in patients with adolescent idiopathic scoliosis following posterior spinal fusion-Actively take part in multidisciplinary rounds and leadership initiatives including safe patient handling and clinical pathways-Perform all teaching responsibilities including but not limited to teaching patients / families and caregivers, orienting support staff, preparing and presenting clinical in-services, and providing interdepartmental in-service educational lectures-Responsible for supervision of physical therapist assistants, allied health/professional COOP students, Student Physical Therapists, and rehab aides.
