Responsible for user-centered research activities related to the design and development of novel medical devices. As part of the Industrial Design and Human Factors group, I conduct preliminary analyses, related to human capabilities and product interactions to evaluate and inform usability solutions for device design. These usability solutions are presented and evaluated for potential use errors for risk, to inform design and contribute to the verification and the validation of medical devices.

Kate is a Senior Human Factors Design Engineer with over thirteen years of experience delivering HF expert advice to clients. Kate performs all aspects of design assignments, including estimating, tendering, planning and execution, and focuses on delivering the highest customer service to clients. Kate is currently responsible for the user-centered research activities related to the design and development of novel medical devices. In her previous role, Kate specialized in the delivery of advanced train control system projects for the Rail sector working on a variety of challenging HF projects around the world.
