About Kate Craig

I work to make positive change happen wherever I am through community engagement, outreach, advocacy, and grassroots activism. I am proficient in NGP VAN, WordPress, MS Office, Social Media, Social Media Ads, AirTable, Buffer, Hootsuite, Slack, Basecamp, Google Drive, MailChimp, DropBox, Lightroom, Photoshop, and iMovie. I developed and taught a Campaign Training Program for Democratic candidates and their campaign staff in Tennessee. I consult with county Democratic Party leaders in Tennessee and Virginia to grow their organizations and take steps to increase Democratic voter turnout. I Chair the Washington County Democratic Party since 2017, growing the organization 4-fold, a 300 percent increase in social media engagements, raised a record breaking $31K in 2019, and held the inaugural State of Franklin Dinner with state-wide speakers. I Chair the TDCCA First Congressional District since 2019, recruiting candidates in all 12 counties and holding training sessions for all county party leaders. I founded and am leading the TDCCA Social Media Committee while also serving on the Bylaws Committee and the Fundraising Committee. I managed Nancy Fischman for TN House District 7. I volunteered for EMILY’s List, the Human Rights Campaign, the Anti-Defamation League, Running Start, and Planned Parenthood. I founded the Washington, D.C. chapter of Dykes on Bikes where I led the Capitol Pride Parade and the Baltimore Pride Parades and organized motorcycle rides throughout the Washington, D.C, Maryland, and Virginia area. I established Kate Craig Photography where I did event photography, portrait photography, and sports photography. I led a student walkout and voter registration drive in response to budget cuts to higher education from the Tennessee General Assembly in 2003 as a student at East Tennessee State University. I was a reporter and weekly op-ed contributor for East Tennessee State University\'s the East Tennessean and American University\'s The Eagle.
