About Kate Christian

I am a Junior Marketing major at Miami University Farmer School of Business. So far, I have been on the Dean\'s list for both semesters of my first and second year. As a third-year business student, I have continued to develop my communication and time management skills. Additionally, I have developed proficiency in Python, SQL, Microsoft Access, and Excel through various Miami courses. I participated in Miami\'s client challenge, a team project to present a solution to a client. The multiple aspects of this project taught me many different skills about teamwork, assessing data, collaboration, and public speaking. During the summer of 2024, I worked as a Marketing Research intern at Summit Research LLC. During my time at Summit, my interpersonal skills flourished. I learned the importance of adaptability, identifying market trends, team communication, and strong work ethic, all while enjoying my passion for marketing. I conducted live interviews and gathered data to report to the team. At Miami, I am involved in various organizations, including Phi Gamma Nu, a nationwide professional business fraternity built on three pillars: professionalism, philanthropy, and brotherhood. In addition to building my professional network, I am also an active member of the Best Buddies club. This international nonprofit organization creates opportunities for one-to-one friendships, integrated employment, leadership development, and inclusive living for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Lastly, at Miami, I am also involved in my sorority, Kappa Alpha Theta, where I serve on the philanthropy committee. I am eager to continue learning and growing through the diverse classes, organizations, and opportunities available at Miami University.

   Collaborated with a start-up to craft a compelling brand persona that authentically reflects its core values and mission.Designed and produced a suite of marketing materials, including business cards, brochures, and email ad campaigns, to generate community engagement for BASE’s grand opening, sent to over customers.Communicated and wrote BASE’s monthly newsletter to keep their community updated on current products, tips of the month, and event highlights.
