ABOUT KATE CELINE KWAN TIU
Growing up, I was always fascinated by the workings of the natural world, and this led me to pursue a degree in microbiology. As an undergraduate student, I am now able to delve deeper into the subject and gain a deeper understanding of the microscopic world that surrounds us. I have had the opportunity to work in a research lab where I studied streptococcus pneumoniae, a bacterium that causes a range of infections, including pneumonia, meningitis, and sepsis. It is a fascinating area of study, and I am constantly learning new things about this important pathogen and its impact on human health.Working in the lab has been an incredible experience, and I am grateful for the opportunity to be able to contribute to the scientific community. I am confident that the skills and knowledge I am gaining through this experience will serve me well in my future career, and I look forward to continuing to explore and understand the microscopic world that surrounds us.
