About Kate Capparelle
Kate Capparelle is a young professional passionate about international security, particularly as it relates to diplomacy, US foreign policy, and NATO. She earned her B.A. in International Affairs from George Washington University’s Elliott School of International Affairs, graduating magna cum laude with a concentration in Europe & Eurasia, minor in History, and Certificate in French. At GW, she conducted independent research for the Onero Institute’s European Regional Program and managed event communications, coordinated fundraising for UNICEF, and wrote articles and reports for several organizations on international crises, human rights, gender equality, and conflict resolution processes across Asia, Africa, Latin America, and Europe. She has interned with the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS), Kaizen Company, and United States House of Representatives. Most recently, she worked as an English Teaching Assistant with France Éducation International in Toulouse, France. In addition, Kate volunteers with the ENGin Program, which supports Ukraine’s social and economic development through English language advancement, and the School of Leadership, Afghanistan (SOLA), the first and only Afghan-led boarding school for Afghan girls.
