ABOUT KATE BARRETT

I have 30 years of corporate management and leadership experience in sectors including retail, charity and banking. I now work for an independent firm of accountants based in Gloucester and the Forest of Dean, with clients throughout the county and beyond. Whilst working in retail, I was a member of senior store management before taking up a regional role as a financial specialist where I was involved in internal audit, project implementation, corporate policy, training and development, coaching and succession planning. During my time working in the charity sector I was involved in the sales management of remote workers as well as recruitment, development and cost controls. In banking, I have worked in team leadership roles, worked as a transactional payments manager for SMEs and corporate businesses. I have also worked as a relationship manager for Private clients, including managing large lending and deposit books, risk and audit controls and client acquisition and retention. During this time I also passed Chartered Banker exams in- Credit - 2014 Banking for High Net Worth Individuals - 2015 I have served 2 terms of office as a school governor at a local primary and secondary school.
