ABOUT KATE ALLUM
I am a strategic careers leader specialising in the future of work, with a focus on how artificial intelligence is transforming education, career pathways, and organisational decision making.As Head of Careers and Higher Education at Reddam House Berkshire, I lead the design and delivery of a whole school careers strategy that prepares students for a rapidly evolving global workforce. My work increasingly focuses on the practical integration of artificial intelligence within careers education, ensuring students develop the awareness, adaptability and critical thinking required to navigate an AI driven labour market.Alongside my leadership role, I run the Oxbridge Society and provide personalised careers guidance to students and families at key transition points, including GCSE, post-16 and post-18 pathways.With a background in recruitment, operations and business strategy, I bring a commercially informed perspective that connects education with industry needs. This enables me to translate emerging workforce trends, particularly AI adoption, into practical strategies that support both individuals and organisations.I have completed the Level 6 Diploma in Careers Guidance.I am particularly interested in how AI can be adopted in a way that enhances human capability, supports workforce transition, and enables more sustainable career pathways.
