ABOUT KATE ALLEN
As the Manager of Global Resin Development at Eastman, I lead a team of chemists and engineers who create and optimize new resin formulations for various applications and markets. With a PhD in Organometallic Chemistry and more than 7 years of experience in the chemical industry, I have developed a strong expertise in materials science, process development and scale-up which I use to design, test, and characterize novel resins with enhanced properties and performance. Prior to my current role, I was a Group Leader and a Principal Chemist at Eastman, where I contributed to several projects on resin synthesis, characterization, and scale-up, resulting in multiple patents and publications. My core competencies include leadership, innovation, problem-solving, and collaboration, and I am passionate about advancing the field of resin chemistry and delivering solutions that meet the needs of our customers and stakeholders.
