The Tea & Jam Collective is a growing group of amateur musicians who gather together in order to share and enjoy their music-making and/or performance.In my role as Founder and Coordinator of the Tea and Jam Concert Series, I am resposible for- liaising with artists (inc. Accompanists) for the facilitation of our participants- liaising with venues regarding requirements, inc the provision of refreshments- liaising with potential participants and providing excellent customer care- creating marketing content to advertise the series- any other ad hoc duties required by the series.

It was found that disabled children were far more likely to be sidelined in the music classroom, and equally professional, classical musicians are limited in the kind of work they can undertake due in major part to societal attitudes towards the disabled community in general. I will be continuing my research and fact-finding at katmuss.substack.comI have a PGDip, an MA, and a BA in music performance, specializing in clarinet and bass clarinet. I have over 10 years of experience as a freelance musician, working in genres spanning classical, folk, and jazz traditions, and touring the UK, Europe, and the US.I have won multiple awards and grants from prestigious institutions, such as the Royal Philharmonic Society and Help Musicians UK, for my musical projects and professional development.
